A Fake Suitor Scams Pinay Single Mom; About P5 Million Were Taken

"Maricel", 58 years of age, lost nearly P5 million or  equivalent to $114,429.600 (USD).

She said that she used to lend money to soldiers, policemen and even civilians. Her business became successful so she was able to buy a house, empty lot and car for the family and send her three kids to school.

She wanted to find a rich foreigner boyfriend whom she will be getting married with. In 2011, she met a guy named "George" from London on Facebook. They became intimate with each other until she fell into the trap.

George claimed to have money in U.K. of about $2.5 million (112 million pesos). He promised to come in the Philippines to marry Maricel but George suddenly was "hospitalized and was in coma." Some "friends" of George contacted her saying he left money for her but inorder to get the money, she had to send 60,000 pesos to get the money and said George had sent two boxes to her
Nakipagkita pa ako sa Malate. Ang kailangan daw 675,000 pesos.
Maricel's misfortune began. She started pawning things and even their house just to pay the "friends" of George for her to get the alleged boxes George should be giving to her.
Mga alahas, mga gamit sa bahay. Kulang kulang 3 milyon. May interes pa yun aabot na ng P5 milyon.

Marciel's daughter, Jenny, found out about what happened to their house and  then finally found out about the scam her mom got into.
Nakasangla daw yung bahay. Siyempre nakakapanghinayang.
